Enhancing Workplace Dynamics through Feedback with Corporate Coaching

While managers play a pivotal role in shaping the employee experience, they often receive minimal feedback on their own performance. According to a Gallup survey:

- Less than half of employees have provided feedback on their manager.

- Fewer than 1 in 4 have formally rated their manager's performance.

- Only about one-third of managers have received feedback from peers.

Business Collaboration

Managers and employees generally agree that managers meet baseline expectations, but both groups identify coaching as a common weakness. Interestingly, managers often overestimate their effectiveness in providing recognition and feedback, while underestimating their ability to create accountability.

A Call to Action

As Ben Wigert, Director of Research and Strategy, Workplace Management at Gallup, highlights: "Managers need the development, feedback, and support required to manage people effectively and foster highly productive teams."

The Solution: Corporate Coaching

At 45 Degrees Coaching, we believe the first step to all growth is awareness. Once a client becomes aware of an area needing improvement, they can work with their coach to explore strategies for growth and enhancement.

Embracing a feedback-rich environment, managers are empowered to lead more effectively and create more productive and engaged teams.
