A provocative opening question for a life coaching session can invite awareness of success.

Yet, when asked to recall a lesson learned, we generally connect the lesson to a blunder. Personally, I’ll admit that there’s cringing involved in “learning through mistakes” how to reposition and move forward.
Is it possible to learn the lesson before being tested? In social studies class or swimming lessons, I think the answer is yes. In a courageous adult life, pushing limits of accomplishment and balancing a variety of demands, the test often presents itself first and becomes motivation to learn and implement change for the better.
So, what one specific lesson did you learn this week? What has that learning motivated you to do differently next week? I’m interested to hear about your successful motivation.
